20,000 to 45,000

Watching Hannity on the bus and almost back to Raleigh -- about an hour to go. Sean reported the crowd size and showed video from the Capitol looking toward the Mall. Fantastic!!! And yes, we did surround them and the halls were full of Patriots who were polite but purposeful.

We're all tired but fired up again after watching the video of the sea of people at the rally. Lots of cheers as various videos and reports have played throughout the night. Even though we're part of it, it's still amazing that tens of thousands of Americans showed up. Again.

And we're just the tip of the opposition. If you're reading this, then there's a good chance you wanted to be at the Capitol, too. Desperately. Representatives know that and are scared. We still have time. Call them Friday; if you live close to a local office, show up. Hammer it in. Michele Bachmann just said that Pelosi doesn't have the votes.

That's because we're ALL making a difference and we can't stop now.

Hitting the Halls of Congress

We're on our way home. Tired, hoarse, heartened by the huge turnout and with only five days' notice. New Jersey sent 27 buses. New Jersey. Reporter near us had interviewed people from 42 states and that was at the beginning of the rally.

Michele Bachmann's vision -- and guts to go against the leadership -- and organize this event... She was (is) fantastic. She addressed the crowd with, "You came!" And we roared. Early estimates for crowd size vary from 18,000 to 100,000. I truly don't know, we were so much closer to the Capitol than we were for the 912 March, I don't have a frame of reference for numbers.

Jon Voight was riveting and focused, as always, on Obama's socialist agenda. Mark Levin reminded us of how far our Nation has moved from Liberty to Tyranny and in only nine months.

We opened with prayer, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang our National Anthem. There were chants of "Kill the Bill!", "No, you can't!", and "Nan-cy, Nan-cy" in a low taunting roar, daring her to appear. She didn't, of course.

Nor did most every other Representative, for any state. One North Carolinian reported seeing Senator Hagan in the hall outside her office. Hagan saw her constituents approaching and ducked into a side door. Her young, insincere, clueless, compassionless, we-are-young-and-invincible-and-you-are-old-and-wrong staffers did their normal tone-deaf song-and-dance, all delivered with a smug sanctimonious smirk.

They (all those entrenched in and slaves to power) are arrogant. We are frustrated, energized, resolved... and We the PEOPLE are not going away.

More Buses to Unload

We Are Here

And it is HUGE. Photos when we get off the bus. WOW!

Protester Provisions

Well, our buses are an hour from DC and our group is even more boisterous than earlier. We're not stopping on the way up, so almost everyone brought a sack lunch -- one couple planned ahead and got Subway yesterday-- and their sandwiches smell fantastic.

A few people forgot lunch or snacks, so they had their choice of goodies because everyone has shared with them. We're having a blast... And we're not even there yet.

Have TV on the bus and Fox News just ran a headline about the Noon Rally. Final announcements now, we are fired up!!!

On I95 Headed North and Reading the Redstate.com Blog

Redstate link to the right. Comments on other blogs indicate this is going to be big: Nine buses on the way in from eastern Ohio. Five on the way from Virginia Beach. Our three. The group of five led by an RV out of northern Georgia. Three busloads arrived last night. That's more than 1,000 citizens. Just imagine.

First the rally and press conference then we (165 North Carolinians) are meeting with Senator Burr (R-NC) before descending upon Senator Hagan's (D-NC) office. Again. We expect her to be hiding from her constituents. Again.

She can't hide in 2014. And we'll be happy to help her find her way back home to NC. Right behind all the other pols who'll be going home in 2010.

THREE Buses!!!

Yippee! And everyone as motivated as me. Driving my sister nuts already. Oh, well. Maybe we'll have the same effect on Pelosi, Reid and Obama--

At the Rally Point in Raleigh Waiting for the Charter Bus

And WRAL News is here! Amazing. No local coverage at all when we had five buses going up for the 912 March. All ages represented, everyone motivated... Duh! Have to be to get up at 1:45 a.m. in order to make the three-hour drive to Raleigh.

Media Misreading the Mood

Huge victories in Virginia and New Jersey. Wish Hoffman would have taken NY23... but wow, a win for conservatism, fiscal and personal responsibility, and limited government. In NEW JERSEY. Love the pundits who state that it was Corzine's lack of popularity that caused his loss. Without delving into why he has no popular support. Could never be his policies. Could it?

While Gibbs is trying hard to spin the liberal losses as "Not a trend" and "Not a referendum on (President) Obama", voters did make a statement -- take a stand -- against Obama's plan to "Fundamentally remake America." And he did lose political capital and clout last night. Now if Blue Dogs and Moderates and ALL the politicians will choose to interpret the vote correctly, they might have a chance in 2010.

Because We the People WILL:  Protest the move toward socialism. Provide support to those who believe in capitalism. Protect our freedoms as delineated in the Constitution. (Note that I don't write, "as 'granted' by the Constitution.")

Americans for Prosperity NC Bus Headed for DC Thursday!

And I will be on it! Joining Rep Michele Bachmann (R - MN) and thousands of other Americans on the Capitol steps to make our opposition heard in what's being called the D. C. "Super Bowl of Freedom" Anti-Health Care Reform Rally.

By popular and overwhelming request of NC Patriots, AFP NC has chartered a bus and we're headed north again. I really think there will be more than one, based on numbers from the 912 March and the AFP Defending the Dream Summit. Hope we shut down the Capitol. Wonder how many of our representatives will skip town this time like they did for the Summit? Harder to do since Pelosi is set to demand a vote on Friday.

If you can't make it to DC, then PLEASE consider visiting your representatives' local offices and tell them to vote NO on Pelosi, Reid and Obama's various health care bills.

Houston Tea Party Rally Draws More Than 10,000

If the Houston Tea Party rally reporting is similar to the 912 March on the Capitol, then the actual numbers are probably 50,000. The Houston turnout was fantastic and should (but won't) answer the critics who said the Tea Party movement is just a fad, will fade away in the fall. It won't.

I'm headed for Raleigh Thursday, supporting the Americans for Prosperity Congressional House Call effort. Taking a group of five and hoping the crowd will be overwhelming. Since we're grassroots (not astroturf) and not coordinated,  compensated, or coereced, we don't know who or how many, will be there.

Would love to head to DC and support Michelle Bachmann's Call to the Capitol. Have contacted the local Tea Party Patriots to see if we have enough interest to charter a bus. Five buses went out for the 912 March, surely we can come up with one bus for Thursday.

Absentee Voter Fraud May Play a Significant Role in New Jersey's Gubernatorial Election

I was fortunate to hear John Fund in person, at the Americans for Prosperity, Defending the Dream Summit. He is perfect in his prediction of what will happen tomorrow. I'm not the first to write or say it, but take -- and USE -- your cellphone and record video of anything suspicious. Post it on YouTube, Facebook, share and push it viral. If we have enough evidence, from private citizens, maybe we can prevent another New Black Panther voter intimidation incident.

WSJ OPINION: JOHN FUND ON THE TRAIL NOVEMBER 2, 2009, 1:14 P.M. ET.Chris Christie's Next Case: Who Stole My Election?

Absentee voter fraud may play a significant role in New Jersey's gubernatorial election. By JOHN FUND

The race for governor in New Jersey is so close in final polls that it may well end up in a recount -- the 1981 election did and was decided by less than 1,800 votes. If there is a recount, you can bet disputes about absentee ballots will loom large. Moreover, if serious allegations of fraud emerge, you can also expect less-than-vigorous investigation by the Obama Justice Department -- which showed just how seriously it takes such allegations when it walked away from an open-and-shut voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia earlier this year.

Plenty of reasons exist for suspecting absentee fraud may play a significant role in tomorrow's Garden State contests. Groups associated with Acorn in neighboring Pennsylvania and New York appear to have moved into the state. An independent candidate for mayor in Camden has already leveled charges that voter fraud is occurring in his city. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party in New Jersey is taking advantage of a new loosely written vote-by-mail law to pressure county clerks not to vigorously use signature checks to evaluate the authenticity of absentee ballots, the only verification procedure allowed.

VOTE! Tuesday, November 3rd
