Hitting the Halls of Congress

We're on our way home. Tired, hoarse, heartened by the huge turnout and with only five days' notice. New Jersey sent 27 buses. New Jersey. Reporter near us had interviewed people from 42 states and that was at the beginning of the rally.

Michele Bachmann's vision -- and guts to go against the leadership -- and organize this event... She was (is) fantastic. She addressed the crowd with, "You came!" And we roared. Early estimates for crowd size vary from 18,000 to 100,000. I truly don't know, we were so much closer to the Capitol than we were for the 912 March, I don't have a frame of reference for numbers.

Jon Voight was riveting and focused, as always, on Obama's socialist agenda. Mark Levin reminded us of how far our Nation has moved from Liberty to Tyranny and in only nine months.

We opened with prayer, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang our National Anthem. There were chants of "Kill the Bill!", "No, you can't!", and "Nan-cy, Nan-cy" in a low taunting roar, daring her to appear. She didn't, of course.

Nor did most every other Representative, for any state. One North Carolinian reported seeing Senator Hagan in the hall outside her office. Hagan saw her constituents approaching and ducked into a side door. Her young, insincere, clueless, compassionless, we-are-young-and-invincible-and-you-are-old-and-wrong staffers did their normal tone-deaf song-and-dance, all delivered with a smug sanctimonious smirk.

They (all those entrenched in and slaves to power) are arrogant. We are frustrated, energized, resolved... and We the PEOPLE are not going away.
